The Village of Gratiot, nestled in rolling hills of Southwest Wisconsin, is located on Hwy. 11 and Rt. 78, in Lafayette County. While offering some of it's own unique stories and attributes, including the Wolf Creek Campground, and hassle-free access to almost 50 miles of ATV and snowmobile trails, the Village is also conveniently located just over an hour to Madison, WI (the Capitol city), less than an hour to Dubuque, IA on the Mississippi River, and about an hour to Galena, IL.
The Wolf Creek, a trout stream, runs through the Wolf Creek Campground in Gratiot and empties into the Pecatonica River, just North and a little east of town. The Pecatonica is touted for fishing many varieties, and canoeing as well.
The friendly, small town atmostphere of The Village of Gratiot, with it's 236 residents, is a great place to visit, or live. There's something here for everyone! |
